Reports, alerts and sharing
Send regular reports and CSV exports, get told about spikes and unusual days, and share or embed a report.
1Reports and alerts
On the site’s page, under Reports and alerts, add a weekly or monthly report, or a traffic spike alert, by email or to a Slack incoming webhook.
2Scheduled CSV exports
Save a view of the report with the filters you want (for example, only /pricing, or one campaign), then add a weekly or monthly CSV export and choose that view. The CSV arrives by email on Monday or the 1st, covering the week or month just gone.
3Unusual traffic alerts
An unusual traffic alert compares yesterday’s visitors and conversions with the same weekday over the last eight weeks, and tells you when one was far above or below normal. It needs four weeks of history and at least 20 visitors (or 5 conversions) on a typical day before it judges.
4Share
Under Share the report, create a read-only link, with a password if you like.
5View-only people
Under View-only access, invite someone by email; they get their own link to the report without joining the account, and you can remove it on its own.
6Embed
A link without a password comes with an iframe snippet to put the report on another page.
7Looker Studio
Download the connector (/connectors/looker-studio/Code.gs and appsscript.json), paste both into a new Apps Script project, deploy it as a community connector and open it in Looker Studio. Sign in with an API token that has analytics:read, enter the site ID and choose a breakdown. It reads the same daily rows as the API’s /analytics/sites/{site}/rows, which also suits spreadsheets and other dashboards.
8Export
Export a report as CSV from the overview, or read it through the API.
