See it as visitors do · Audit

Watch a visitor try your site. Then fix what got in the way.

A browser plays a first-time visitor on your site and your competitors’, tries real tasks like finding the price or signing up, and shows what to improve with screenshots and mock-ups of the fix.

  • Real tasks, tried in a browser
  • Scored against competitors
  • Speed, accessibility and search checks
  • Mock-ups of the fixes

See it as visitors do

An honest first visit, every time you ship.

Real tasks

A visitor tries to understand what you offer, find the price, sign up or get in touch, clicking and typing like a person would.

Against your competitors

The same tasks run on the sites people compare you with, so every score has a benchmark. Audit can suggest who they are.

Measured, not guessed

Load speed, layout shift, accessibility, search basics and phone layout, measured in the browser alongside the journeys.

Fixes you can see

Each finding outlines the problem on a screenshot, and the most important ones come with a mock-up of the fix.

Inside Audit

What you can do

A closer look at what Audit does, grouped by the work it supports.

Journeys

Tasks people actually do

Up to five tasks per audit, from a list or in your own words.

  • Simulated visitorsA browser reads each screen, decides what to do next and explains why, step by step, until it succeeds or gives up.
  • Friction logEvery moment that slowed the visitor down: confusing labels, missing information, pop-ups in the way, too many steps.
  • ReplayEach journey’s screens in order, with the element clicked outlined and the visitor’s reasoning beside it.

Scores

Where you stand

Eight scores per site, side by side with your competitors.

  • Flow scoresNavigation, conversion, clarity and trust, judged from how the journeys went.
  • Measured scoresSpeed (Core Web Vitals), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), search basics and phone layout.
  • Competitor comparisonThe same journeys and checks on up to five competitors, with suggestions for who they are.

Fixes

What to change first

Findings ordered by impact, with the effort each takes.

  • Visual evidenceThe problem outlined on the screen where the visitor met it.
  • Mock-upsA rendered mock-up of the improved section for the findings where a picture helps most.
  • Scheduled auditsRun monthly or weekly to see whether changes helped.

Safety and accountability

A polite visitor.

Audits visit public pages only, honour robots.txt, never submit forms that buy or sign up, and use obviously fake details.

  • Public pages only
  • Honours robots.txt
  • Never submits a purchase or sign-up
  • Fake test details
  • A clear user agent
  • At most two pages a second

Good to know

Straight answers about Audit.

Does it need access to my site?

No. Audits visit your public pages like any visitor. Nothing is installed.

Will it sign up or buy things?

No. The visitor stops before submitting a sign-up, purchase or payment, and uses obviously fake details when a form needs them.

Is visiting competitors’ sites allowed?

Audits only open public pages, honour each site’s robots.txt, go no faster than a person, and identify themselves in the user agent.

What does the visitor run on?

A headless Chromium browser on BuildPusher, driven by Claude, Anthropic’s AI model, which reads each screen and decides what to do next.
