Get started
Create a project, turn on the services it needs, and find your way around.
1Create a project
From Projects, choose New project. A project is one application or site; it starts with a production environment, and you can add staging, development or another production environment (an API deployed beside the website, say) in its Settings. Tick the services it needs; Analytics or Monitoring on their own work with any site, wherever it’s hosted, and the setup guide then skips servers and deploys.
2Turn on services
The project’s overview lists every service: choose Turn on beside Deploy, Infrastructure, Monitoring, Security, Analytics or Audit. Opening a service from the sidebar that isn’t on yet offers the same button. The project’s Setup guide then walks you through the first steps.
3Start from a template
Projects → From a template sets up a project in one go: Laravel, Next.js, WordPress or a static site, or one of your own. To make your own, open a project’s Settings → Save as a template; it keeps the services, other environments, release settings, uptime checks on its domain and Analytics goals, and variable names with empty values.
4Find anything
Press Ctrl K (or ⌘ K) to open search from any page, and jump straight to a project, server or page.
5Follow what happens
The bell opens your notifications. Tick several to mark them read or unread or delete them, use Clear read to tidy up, and save the filters you use as views. Choose which ones you get in Your settings → Notifications.
6Pin and archive projects
Choose the star on a project to pin it to the top of your list; pins are yours alone. To put a finished project away without deleting anything, use Archive project in its Settings: it leaves the list, everything in it keeps running, and Archived on the projects list brings it back.
7Choose your language
The app follows your browser’s language when it’s English, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese. To pick one yourself, open Your settings → Profile and choose a Language.
